Afterlight is anonymous by design. Your pseudonym is the only identity other users see. We do not ask for your real name, and we do not display one.
The following information is kept private and is never shown publicly or to other users:
Your email is used only for authentication and transactional messages (such as sign-in links, account confirmations, and service notifications), delivered through our email provider, Resend. We never sell or share your email address with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing beyond what you sign up for.
We do not run ads and we do not sell data. We use basic product analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics) to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not set additional tracking cookies beyond what these tools require to function.
Posts, comments, and reactions you create in public spaces are visible to other users of Afterlight. Please do not share personally identifiable information in public content — the platform blocks URLs, emails, and phone numbers to help you stay anonymous.
You can request deletion of your account or any content tied to it by emailing support@afterlight.club. We will remove the data we control within a reasonable timeframe.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email.
